Alaska has a population of around 731,000 people and its capital and largest city is Juneau. The official languages are English and Alaska Native languages.

Russian traders established settlements in Alaska in the late 18th century, and in 1867, the United States purchased Alaska from Russia for $7.2 million, which is known as the Alaska Purchase.

It is also a popular destination for tourism and outdoor activities, with opportunities for fishing, hunting, skiing, and sightseeing.
