About Russia
Russia, officially known as the Russian Federation, is the largest country in the world, spanning across Europe and Asia. It is bordered by Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, China, and North Korea. The country has a population of over 144 million people and its capital and largest city is Moscow.

Russia has a rich and complex history, it was founded by the East Slavs in the 9th century and officially became the Tsardom of Russia in 1547. The country later expanded its territory through conquests and annexations, becoming the Russian Empire in the 18th century. In 1917, the Russian Revolution led to the formation of the Soviet Union, which lasted until its collapse in 1991.

Russia is a federal semi-presidential constitutional republic, with a President as the head of state and a Prime Minister as the head of government. The country has 85 federal subjects, and the official language is Russian.

Russia has a mixed economy, it has a large resource base, including oil, natural gas, timber, and precious metals, which account for a large share of its exports. Russia is also a major producer of military and civilian equipment, and has a well-developed space industry. The country has a rich and diverse culture, including literature, art, music, dance, and architecture, it has also a long history of achievements in science and technology.
